About Hannah
Hi, I’m Hannah Stainer, Founder of Psykhe Coaching. I am a Transformational Life Coach, Mental Wellbeing Coach, Youth Coach, Qualified SEN Teacher, and Speaker. I’m also a mental health advocate and the creator and host of the Psykhe Mental Wellbeing Podcast.
I am a qualified teacher having started out in Primary and then teaching up to A-Level Psychology, for which I was an examiner for four years. I have a Masters Degree in Psychology and am a Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society. I also have a Postgraduate Diploma in Special and Inclusive Educational Needs (specialising in Dyslexia and Autism), a Diploma in Life Coaching, a Level 3 Yoga Instructor qualification and have completed a Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Attitudes and Skills.
I have an enhanced DBS check and full professional insurance.
I have experience of living with depression and anxiety, imposter syndrome, people-pleasing and an awful relationship with myself. I realised one day I wasn’t really ok and set out to change my life, to be ok. Now I’m sharing what I’ve learnt with others.
I am a keen Mental Health advocate and hold several voluntary roles including as a Time to Change Champion, a Rethink Mental Illness Peer Mentor and a Samaritans Listening Volunteer.
To help manage my own mental health I like to stay active. I practise yoga daily, CrossFit, wild swim and have recently started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (between lockdowns) and running (during lockdown).
About Psykhe
Psykhe is the greek goddess of the soul, spirit, the breath and compassion. Her symbol is the butterfly, also associated with transformation. Psykhe is the root of the word ‘psychology’.
What better name for us to choose than one which embodies what we stand for - compassion, transformation, being a complete, whole person and obviously the mental world of psychology which is our fave subject.
