Episode 61: Lee Chambers: On Designing Your Life, From Sleep to Work, to Work For You

In this episode, we're joined by Environmental Psychologist and Wellbeing Consultant Lee Chambers. Lee is, in many ways, a renegade of an Environmental Psychologist. He is not steeped in research, he has spent his time trying to understand elements of physiology after losing the ability to walk. This has taken him on a journey to attempt to influence our working environments, a place where we spend countless hours carrying out specific tasks. By using critical thinking about spaces, places, and how people interact with them, he has become a Wellbeing Consultant.

Lee uses multidisciplinary theories to integrate regenerative practices into workplaces, his mission is to make where we work a place that energises us, rather than drains us. He combines environmental psychology assessments with both physical and mental health workshops, designed to build employee awareness around sleep, nutrition, mindset, and habits.

Losing his ability to walk changed Lee's worldview completely, and propelled him on a journey to understand how we, as humans, can optimise our bodies and our minds. He has worked in the Private Sector, the Public Sector, and in Elite Sports.

Lee joins us to share his story and the importance of our workplace environments and sleep environments for our wellbeing. He shares the best ways for us to work and the importance of taking into consideration our individual needs at work. We discuss how we can develop resilience, the power of gratitude, and reflective practice.

Lee shares some fantastic tips for shifting your mindset and overcoming challenges. Because, as he says, if you believe you can, you can. When he lost the ability to work he set himself the challenge of being back on his feet and walking when his newborn daughter was walking. Having a powerful why helped spur him on and he was back on his feet after 11 months.

This episode is jam-packed full of content so definitely one not to miss!
